Old maps of Meshaw
The oldest map I've yet been able to find is Benjamin Donn's 1765 Map of Devon.
The University of Australia has a collection of first edition Ordnance Survey maps. Here's an extract from one showing Meshaw in 1809.
One of the first really detailed maps of the Meshaw area is the 1838 Tithe Map. These maps were drawn up to decide who owned what and thus who paid what! It was probably the most comprehensive survey of land ownership since Domesday. Here's an extract from from the Meshaw map, provided by Devon County Council.
The National Library of Scotland(!) holds a fine collection of old Ordnance Survey maps of Devon. Here are some that show Meshaw.
