A short walk which can be rounded off by a visit to the Mitre.
East Worlington
From the Village Hall, go down the hill to the war memorial and turn left. Walk down the hill and over the bridge at the bottom. Almost immediately to your left you will see the entrance to the woods beside the cottage. There is plenty of signage showing the various paths.

Tiverton
If hills and roads are not for you, try walking the 11.5 miles of the Grand Western Canal which runs from Tiverton basin through Halberton and Sampford Peverell ending at Lowdwells Lock. Lots of interesting things to see along the way. Stop for lunch or a drink at The Globe in Sampford Peverell. If you don't want to walk all the way back again, you can take the bus.
